What’s the most underrated life skill?

Discernment.

We have access to more information than any generation before us.

And somehow, knowing what to believe may be harder than ever.

Something can sound convincing and still be wrong.

Popular doesn’t mean true.
Sincere doesn’t mean trustworthy.
And hearing something repeatedly doesn’t make it fact.

Discernment is the ability to slow down long enough to ask:

Who said it?
What’s the source?
Is it actually true?

The Bible has been telling us to do this for a long time:

“Test everything; hold fast what is good.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:21

Maybe one of the most important skills we can develop isn’t simply knowing more.

It’s learning how to recognize what is true.
